What are the Steps Involved in PPE Injection Molding

PPE injection molding mainly includes the following steps:

1. Mold closing: tightly lock the open mold to ensure its stability during the injection molding process. The mold closing process usually includes stages such as rapid mold closing, medium speed mold closing, low voltage protection, and high voltage mold locking.

2. Injection: Inject molten PPE raw materials into the mold through screws at high temperatures. The injection process can adjust the pushing speed and melting temperature according to the needs of the product.

3. Pressure holding: During the injection process, due to thermal expansion and contraction, the melted material will gradually shrink, so pressure holding is needed to fill the melted material.

4. Storage: During the injection molding process, plastic raw materials are constantly consumed, and the storage step is used to replenish the melted material and measure it in a timely manner.

5. Ejection: After the storage is completed, the screw will retreat a certain distance to reduce the pressure at the front end and prevent overflow.

6. Cooling: By exchanging heat with the cooling water on the mold, the high-temperature melt in the mold is cooled and solidified.

7. Mold opening: opposite to mold closing, the mold opening step is to open the mold and remove the cooled plastic product.

8. Ejection: Use the ejection device on the mold to push the cooled plastic product out of the mold.
